Our baby girl is almost 1 year old. We wanted to try a cake smash shoot before she turns 1. This is the first time we tried it. My girlfriend baked a cake and she helped me with everything around the shoot. It was fun to do and our baby must have thought that her parents where crazy with al the sounds they made and moves they did.

My girlfriend and i took our baby girl to the zoo in Nordhorn. She really loves to look at animals. She gets really excited when she sees the animals. I took my Canon 7D and 70-200mm lens with me.

We got a little visit of a small grasshopper in our garden. He didn't mind being a model for a bit. I took some macro shots with my Tamron 90mm 2.8.

2 cute ladybugs where in our garden and the sun was at a nice angle. I had to take some pictures of them. I used my Sony A7 ii and tamron 90mm 2.8 macro lens and a flash for these pictures.

I made some pictures of dandelions with waterdrops. I made them at home in the kitchen.

I bought a Super Wide angle Macro 1:1 lens. The Laowa 15MM f4. It's such a weird lens that i have never used anything like this before. I have had a super wide and fisheye lens, but this one can focus from such a close distance that it is almost unbelievable.

I tried some macro photography with extension tubes and my Sony kit lens (28-70mm). I did not bring my Macro lens and wanted to take some macro pictures. I have to say it did an alright job. Its not as good as with a real 1:1 magnification macro lens, but it's very cheap and also fun to do.

Today there was the NO-Netherlands open championship for living statues in Borne. The weather was great, sun was shining and the living statues where amazing. So i took my Sony Aii and my favourite lens Sony 85mm 1.8 with me.

I tried some more macro-with-flash pictures of insects and spiders. I have to say it gets easier if you try it more. It's also a lot of fun. This time a year there wil be more different kind of insects. So I wil do a lot more of these shoots.

Today my girlfriend and I took our baby to a children's farm. She is actually to young to enjoy the animals, but the weather was amazing and she likes to look around. I took my newest Sony 85mm 1.8 lens with me and tried to takes some vintage looking pictures with help from the sun.
